JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

To be involved actively in Day to Day HSE business  of Plant Operations Maintenance and Contractors Activities at BeAAT (The Central Environment Protection Facility), whose function is to receive and treat – through a series of physical and chemical processes; industrial hazardous wastes from all ADNOC OPCO’s.

•    Ensure TRA is done for all activities and participate in Risk Assessment with operations and maintenance team.

•    Conduct field visits and identify hazards and notify the Area Safety Engineer / Environment Engineer / Occupational Health Specialist for appropriate advice and actions.

•    Assist Safety, Environment Engineers and Occupational Health Specialist in their activities as and when request. Participate in the preparation of Inspection plans, HSE Campaign, and other HSE activities.

•    Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned such maintaining essential record, moving from / to site equipment for HSE activities.

•    Participates in developing and maintaining safe working procedures as necessary for controlling site and associated activities in line with HSE Control Procedures and HSEMS manual.

•    Ensures that all visitors to the area have attended or attend the site HSE induction programme.

•    Monitors potentially hazardous substances brought to site are as per system in place and ensure the awareness and training of employees and contractors about the hazards and best practices to handle the chemicals.

•    Participates in the HSE training sessions of employees and contractors.

•    Daily logging of HS related issues and report submittal to Safety Section Head.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    Completion of Technical Secondary (12 years) education or school education (10 years) +1 to 2 years technical course.

•    3 years experience of which at least 1 year in a similar position in a petrochemical industry, chemical industry, etc.

•    Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).

•    Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent (NEBOSH, Safety & Hygiene, etc.)

•    UAE driving license is preferable.
