Job Location : United Arab Emirates / Abu Dhabi 
Required Skills : JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

Fulfill and communicate HSE general and specific training requirements to all UZ personnel without extinguishment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    Assist with curriculum development & review of In-house HSE training courses.

•    Define and advise on training material & equipment requirements.

•    Develop specific training programs and their execution plans to cover all concerned population to ensure compliance with the Company HSE training Matrix requirements.

•    Conduct both theoretical and practical training sessions.

•    Develop and use training assessment tools in coordination with the HSE training officer in AUH and other parties as required.

•    Take full accountability in presenting & meeting the objectives of Company HSE training plans.

•    Continually monitor and review HSE training courses and programs for relevance with a focus of identifying areas of improvement.

•    Develops & maintains employee training records & annual renewals within a Computer based structure.

•    Prepare, issue, & follow-up on training materials, books, periodicals, and annual budget requirements.

•    Acts as a member of investigation, inspection, and audit team as nominated.

•    Intimately respond to industrial incidents, and work in close proximity with investigation teams for the purpose of grabbing the root causes lessons learnt and prepare specific training materials and address the concerned population.

•    Responds to emergency situations as assigned within the roles and duties specified in the Company’s emergency response procedures.

•    Develop & issue HSE related safety flashes, flags, bulletins, training hand-outs other awareness publications.

•    Conducts periodic HSE training audits of both in-house and third party training programs as part of the continual improvement process with assistance from the Safety Engineer for Training as required.

•    Actively participate in Monthly Group Safety Meetings and deliver work related and occasion / season related refreshers.

•    Ensure suggestions and recommendations resulting from student feedback are thoroughly assessed and followed-up within a timely manner.

•    Monitor strict adherence by all concerned to the Company Health, Safety & Environmental Management System (HSEMS) requirements in all aspects of day-to-day activities.

•    Periodically provide support with training requirements for site emergency response teams including Auxiliary Fire, First Aid and leak response teams.

•    Act as a field HSE Engineer or a fire and Safety Section Officer whenever required to ensure smooth and safe execution of plant operations and activities.

•    Be malleable and flexible to adjust your schedule as dictated by the job requirements and operational constraints.

•    In all deliverables, respect the traditions, customs and culture of the UAE.

•    Facilitate for external HSE Training Courses planned to be conducted on ACPT, and assess the level of benefit by UZ employees trained offshore.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent, preferably in electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering base, followed by training accreditation certificates.

•    Strong communication and presentation skills.

•    An overwhelming personality with excellent persuasiveness, tactfulness, insinuation, happy mien character, perfect command of English and Arabic language mastering are essential credential requirements, in addition to mastering various up to date training techniques.

•    10 years diversified experience in HSE specialties within the Oil & Gas industry with a strong background in instructing HSE related training courses such as abut not limited to:

•    H2S / HSE awareness / Confined space entry / Permit to Work / First Aid / Chemical handling / Basic Risk Assessments / Fire Watch / Basic Fire Fighting / Defensive Driving / Hear Exhaustion / OSHAS 18001 and ISO 14001 awareness / Noise Radiation / Pollution / Ergonomics / Sour gases / OPITO certified gas testers / Emergency Response courses, etc.
